1. BRIEF HISTORY OF THE LIBRARY 

A. L. Choudhury College, Central Library was started along with the establishment of the College in 1996 in order to cope up to the academic needs of the faculty, students, and non-teaching staffs. Since then, the College Library has gone from strength to live-up to the expectations of its end users. The A. L. Choudhury College, Library was shifted at the present office room to present hall in the year 2017 and we have future plan to have independent Library Building. The total length of the library are 40 ft. and breadth are 26 ft. within the library we are providing reading services along with the book stacks and front office.

Being the heart of the academic pursuit, the Central Library is serving “right information to the right user at the right time in a right personal way”. The Central Library of A.L. Choudhury College facilitates its users a specious, accommodative, and resourceful Library by providing lending service, reading service, reference services, like text book, reference book, magazines, newspaper, Question Bank etc. 

Internet and Education has become inseparable now days. The Library is providing free access of Internet for its users. This has been undertaken to facilitate our students to have access to e-resources like, e-book, e-journals and online lesson, instruction sitting in the Library. 

Re-organization of Central Library is under process to accommodate new collections and systematized library services where sufficient reading environment will be provided for both students and teachers. The process of computerization of Library, Open access and Library orientation programs has undertaken.
